HYPERDRIVE LAB

Ecommerce marketing

Ecommerce ads and creative, built around your margins.

Hyperdrive Lab runs paid media and creative for ecommerce and DTC brands. We manage Meta, Google, TikTok, YouTube and other channels, make the ads that run on them, and judge the work by what reaches your bottom line: new customers, contribution margin and repeat revenue.

What we do for ecommerce brands

01

Paid social

Prospecting and retargeting on Meta and TikTok, structured so creative testing drives the account and budget follows the ads that bring in new customers.

02

Google Shopping and search

Shopping, Performance Max, search and YouTube, plus Microsoft Advertising, with brand and non-brand results kept apart so you can see what is actually growing.

03

Creative production

UGC-style video, static ads, motion and product imagery. Made by people, with AI-assisted production where it helps, and built in rounds you can learn from.

04

Measurement you can trust

Tracking checks, sensible attribution and reporting built around business results, with hands-on Triple Whale experience on the team.

05

Landing pages and conversion

Product and landing pages that keep the ad’s promise, load fast on phones and get tested as seriously as the ads do.

06

AI search and new channels

Product information that shoppers and AI assistants can understand, known as answer engine optimization (AEO), plus hands-on management of newer placements such as ChatGPT Ads.

How we grow an ecommerce brand

Learn the business, test the possibilities, then build on what works.

  1. 01

    Learn the economics

Margins, average order value, repeat purchase rate, inventory and what is already running. We check tracking before changing budgets, so the numbers we optimize toward are real.

  2. 02

    Test with a reason

Every creative and audience test starts with a question and a success measure, such as which angle brings in new customers at a cost your margins can carry.

  3. 03

    Accelerate what works

Budget moves toward proven ads. The next creative round builds on what the last one taught us, and the landing page gets fixed when the ad is doing its job.

  4. 04

    Scale with profit in view

Spend grows only while new-customer cost and payback stay where your margins need them.

Why brands like working this way

Senior people on your account
You work directly with co-founders Ryan Sigler and Sara Stuart and the specialists running your campaigns. The people you meet on the first call stay on the work.
Media and creative together
The team buying media also shapes the creative, so what the spend reveals goes straight into the next round of ads.
Reporting in business terms
Platform numbers sit next to the ones your finance team cares about: new customers, MER (total revenue against total ad spend) and contribution margin.
Month to month
No long-term contract. We agree on scope up front and revisit it as your needs change.

Product brands we’ve worked with

Past and present clients include JackRabbit, Humanscale, Tabio, Fabrics & Fabrics and Benchmark Abrasives. The scope has varied by brand across paid advertising and creative.

Ecommerce marketing questions, answered.

What does an ecommerce marketing agency do?

It plans, runs and improves the marketing that brings shoppers to an online store: paid ads, the creative inside them, landing pages and the measurement that shows what is working. At Hyperdrive Lab, paid media is the core, with creative, conversion and AI search work built around it.

Which ad channels work best for ecommerce?

It depends on the product, price point and customer. Meta and TikTok are often strongest for finding new customers, Google Shopping and search capture people who are already looking, and YouTube can do both. We start where your customers already spend time and test before expanding.

How do you measure ecommerce ad performance?

Platform-reported ROAS is one input. We also look at total revenue against total ad spend (often called MER), the cost to acquire a new customer, contribution margin and repeat purchases, using tools such as Triple Whale where they fit.

How much should an ecommerce brand spend on ads?

Work backward from what a new customer is worth. Your margin, order value and repeat purchases set how much you can pay to acquire one. The test budget has to be large enough to produce a readable result, and the total should stay within what cash flow can carry while results come in. We model this with you before recommending a number.

Do you make the ad creative too?

Yes. We produce UGC-style video, static ads, motion and product imagery, and we test it in the accounts we manage so each round of creative is informed by the last.

Can you work with our in-house team or current agency?

Yes. We can run paid media hands-on, advise your in-house team or support another agency behind the scenes.

Do we need a long-term contract?

No. We work month to month and agree on scope before starting.
