Local business marketing

Local marketing, measured in leads.

We help service businesses and local retailers show up where nearby customers look: Google Maps, local search results, Google Ads and AI answers. Then we fix the website and landing pages so more of those searches become calls, forms and visits.

What we do for local businesses

01

Google Business Profile and Maps

A complete, accurate profile with the right categories, services, photos and hours, with Google Maps visibility checked across your whole market, not from one spot.

02

Location and service pages

Pages that match how people search in each town you serve, with a clear structure for businesses that have more than one location.

03

Google Ads and Local Services Ads

Campaigns aimed at people nearby who are ready to call, visit or book, managed against cost per lead.

04

Websites that convert

Rebuilds and landing pages that turn visits into calls, bookings and store visits: fast on phones and clear about the next step.

05

AI answers (AEO)

Answer engine optimization: consistent business details and useful answers on your site, so Google’s AI Overviews, AI Mode and ChatGPT have good reasons to mention you.

06

Calls, forms and visits, tracked

Monthly reporting on leads, cost per lead where ads are involved, and visibility by market, compared with where you started.

How we work: diagnose, convert, compound

Three steps, adapted to how customers choose a business like yours.

  1. 01

    Find the real constraint

We map where customers come from today, what each lead costs and where people drop off, and agree on your starting numbers before work begins.

  2. 02

Fix the path to the call

The website, landing pages and profiles come first. More traffic is only worth buying once more of it turns into customers.

  3. 03

    Grow, market by market

Google Maps, organic search and AI answers are built up together for each location and reported monthly, so progress is easy to compare.

Local marketing questions, answered.

What is local SEO?

Local SEO is the work of making a business appear when nearby customers search for what it offers: in Google Maps results (the map pack), regular results and, increasingly, AI answers. It covers your Google Business Profile, location and service pages, reviews, consistent business details and a website that converts.

How do I get my business into the Google map pack?

Keep your Google Business Profile complete and accurate, choose the right categories and services, earn genuine reviews steadily, keep your name, address and phone number consistent across the web, and build pages that match what people search. Proximity matters too, which is why we check visibility across a grid of your service area.

Should a local business use Google Ads or SEO?

Usually both, in the right order. Ads can produce leads right away, while SEO and Google Maps build a lower-cost stream over time. Pedego E-Bikes in Santee grew on the same ad budget after the account and landing page were rebuilt; Your House Cleaning Pros grew through organic search and AI visibility alone.

Can a local business show up in ChatGPT or Google AI Mode?

Yes. AI assistants now recommend local businesses, often drawing on map data, reviews and clear website content. We work on those signals, though no one can guarantee a recommendation. At the time of the case studies, E.E. Ward, Your House Cleaning Pros and Solar Bear all appeared in AI answers for searches in their markets.

Do you work with multi-location businesses?

Yes. In the E.E. Ward case study, the rebuilt site gave each of its four locations its own structure so each market could rank and convert on its own.

What kinds of local businesses do you work with?

Home services such as moving, cleaning, solar and roofing, local retailers and multi-location service brands, along with professional services such as law and real estate. The approach adapts to how your customers choose a provider.

How do you report results?

Monthly, compared with your starting numbers: leads, cost per lead where paid media is part of the work, and visibility by market.
